Sunshine Coast
The Sunshine Coast is undoubtedly one of Australia's most scenically beautiful regions. At the centre of the Sunshine Coast region lies a popular area where holiday opportunities are endless. This area includes Coolum, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headland, and the vast expanse into the Blackall Range.
The four surfing beaches of Coolum, Maroochydore, Alexandra Headland and Mooloolaba combine to produce a fantastic holiday destination for families with children of all ages as well as young people looking for adventure.
Blessed with a heady mix of ocean beaches, riverfront, variety of restaurants and nighteries, Mooloolaba is a popular, central Sunshine Coast resort town. It also has an all-weather port which is not only home to a large trawling fleet, but the finishing point for blue-water sailing races from both Sydney and Auckland.
Situated on Australia's Sunshine Coast, just north of Brisbane, is Noosa. This town, which incorporates three separate areas (Noosa Heads, Noosa Junction and Noosaville), has a reputation as the destination for all of Australia's hot shots and jet-setters. But beneath the glitz and glamour of the town's central Hastings Street is a town which has loads to offer for all types of travellers, particularly surfers.
Noosa is one of the few places in Australia that is famous for preserving the natural environment and integrating it with the most modern holiday accommodation and amenities that subsequently attracts over a quarter of a million visitors each year.
