Whitsundays - How to Get Here

By Air

Domestic air services fly into Proserpine airport or Hamilton Island airport. From Proserpine transfers can be arranged to Airlie Beach. From Hamilton Island airport you must transfer with Blue Ferries to Shute Harbour and then catch either the shuttle bus or a taxi to Airlie Beach.

By Car

From Brisbane take the Bruce Highway and turn off at Proserpine in order to get to Airlie Beach, the highway is well signposted. The drive would take approximatley 14 hours.

By Bus

There a number of interstate coaches from Brisbane that pass throug and stop at Airlie Beach.

By Train

Queensland Railways operate rail services between Cairns and Brisbane stopping at all major towns and cities in between. You should get off in Proserpine and then catch a transfer to Airlie Beach.
